June 16 – June 19 2010 in Dublin at the 10th EACH European confence a Resolution on Child Restraint was accepted.

The resolution advocates:

Restraint should be avoided in medical procedures, unless there is no alternative in a life threatening situation.

Restraining children during medical procedures: a survey

Restraint, fixation or clinical holding, are some of the words used for the practice of keeping children immobilized during painful or distressing medical procedures.
