EACH is involved in the welfare of all children before, during or after a stay in hospital.

At present 13 national associations are members of EACH. 5 Associations are associated members.

An updated version of of the Self-evaluation Model and Tool on the respect of children's rights in hospitals and health services  bytes is now available. (To download the document click on the hyperlink.)

The document was prepared by the Task Force on Health Promotion for Children and Adolescents in & by Hospitals and Health Services, which was established in 2004 within the International Network of Health Promoting Hospitals and Health Services (HPH).

The specific objective of the model is to assess the gap between the full respect of children’s rights in hospital and the current practice, as a basis to promote improvement and change in that setting through the development of standards, taking of actions and further assessment and feedback, monitoring gaps; in order to improve both the respect and fulfilment of children rights in hospitals and health services, as well as to improve the quality of the healthcare services.
